Stimulus Bills and The Cross

The fawning of the national media over our new President in, quite frankly, making me sick. Better to be excited about Jesus.

"It is better to take refuge in the LORD than to trust in princes." (Psa 118:9 ESV) Thank God for his sovereignty. Spurgeon remarked that in times of crisis the sovereignty of God is the pillow upon which we can lay our head. I am very thankful for that. I also believe Christians will be in for hard times, especially if the so called "Freedom of Choice Act" passes. Time to gird up our loins.

“If we refuse to take up our cross and submit to suffering and rejection at the hands of men, we forfeit our fellowship with Christ and have ceased to follow him. But if we lose our lives in his service and carry our cross, we shall find our lives again in the fellowship of the cross with Christ…. To bear the cross proves to be the only way of triumphing over suffering. This is true of all who follow Christ, because it was true for him.” – Dietrich Bonhoeffer
